Our Story
At Three Sisters Adventist Christian School, it is our purpose to provide a Christ-centered academic environment where the whole student is nourished - spiritually, intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally.
Since its founding in 1924, Three Sisters Adventist Christian School has provided quality, Christ-centered education to kids in PreK - 8th grade across Central Oregon. For these 100+ years, TSACS continues to serves a diverse population, welcoming students of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds who desire an opportunity to have Christ and the teachings of the Bible as part of their education.
We believe that while knowledge of facts and the ability to think are necessary for a person to succeed in life, a deep and lasting purpose flows from a life anchored in Jesus, who inspires all sense of identity and infinite value, and motivates us to serve our community and beyond.
Our mission is to awaken a love for God, a desire for learning, & service to others.
Awaken
It is our ambition as Christian educators to awaken within our students a love for God. Each classroom begins the day with worship and time for students to pray together. Daily lessons incorporate a Christian world view into core subject matter. Teachers and students make time to study God’s word in Bible class and apply Christian principles in the classroom. Students are actively involved as worship and praise leaders during weekly chapels and student-led weeks of prayer. Having students fully awakened to the love of God for all is the passion that drives the educators here at Three Sisters School.
Desire
It is our belief that the desire for learning should be self-motivated. Students are encouraged to explore and expand their knowledge base under the guidance and close supervision of their classroom instructor. Students at Three Sisters are held accountable for their learning and behavior. They develop problem-solving skills with the philosophy that choices affect learning. We believe a desire for learning grows with the freedom to investigate, ask questions, and explore the world in which we live. Field trip experiences and hands on educational activities foster the desire for learning and show students real world connections and how to implement their new-found knowledge.
Service
Both in and outside the classroom, students at Three Sisters are involved in serving others. Inside the classroom older students serve their younger schoolmates by partnering in academic projects as well as school service activities. Outside the classrooms, students participate in The Bend Food Project, Christmas shopping for worthy families, and world relief activities through mission work such as ADRA (the Adventist Development and Relief Agency). Our commitment to service provides an active avenue for students and staff to demonstrate love and care in action to those in need.
